This year’s agenda will again include interactive lecture presented by local and regional experts and will also offer time for social and networking opportunities.

2025 Discounted Lift Tickets
Boyne is excited to offer a new added value to guests coming with a large group – discounted lift tickets! Those who register for the Symposium will receive an e-mail with this information when they register that will include a discount link and a Group Sales Validation Code to purchase lift tickets.
ATTENTION FAMILIES: Some of our attendees have shared there is an APP available (MSIA Cold is Cool App) allowing 4th and 5th grade students the opportunity to ski all winter long. Families can obtain a Cold is Cool Ski & Ride Passport App for their 4th and/or 5th graders that gives them up to three free lift tickets or trail passes at 29 participating ski areas (including Boyne Mountain), plus additional discounts on the slopes and in Michigan ski shops. MSIA charges $30 for the passport; $25 covers operating expenses and $5 goes to MIsnow, a new charitable organization that helps get underprivileged kids out on our slopes & trails in the winter. Medical Student Forum – Saturday, January 25, 2025
During the Midwest Winter Symposium, MCEP will be holding a Medical Student Forum for M1s though M4s, both MD & DO Michigan students. The forum will include small group advising, a residency fair, simulation as well as a resident panel. Registration will be limited.
The cost to attend is $45 and includes the Forum on Saturday, 1/25/25 and the MCEP Evening Reception on Friday, 1/24/25, as well as breakfast and a box lunch during the Forum. You are also welcome to attend any of the Midwest Winter Symposium’s educational sessions that may be of interest to you. Please note the fee does not include accommodations or skiing/lift tickets.

There are only 40 spots open. The first 40 PAID in full are eligible to attend the Medical Student Forum. There will be a waitlist in case any students drop out. The fee is $45 to attend. If you are registered for the conference, that does NOT mean you are registered for the Medical Student Forum. You must scroll down to “Extra Events” and select the Medical Student Forum and input the additional information required.

COVID-19 Considerations
MCEP will adhere to all current COVID-19 requirements imposed by the State of Michigan as well as all safety measure protocols in place at the Mountain Grand Lodge/Boyne Mountain and their local health department. In addition, MCEP is actively monitoring COVID-19 in the Boyne Falls area and will follow all guidance regarding large group gatherings.
Waiver of liability: “I agree that by registering for the 2023 Midwest Winter Symposium I will indemnify and hold harmless the Michigan College of Emergency Physicians (MCEP) its volunteers, employees, and others working on behalf of MCEP against any and all claims, demands, suits, or loss, including all costs connected therewith, and for any damages which may be asserted, claimed, or recovered against or from MCEP including personal injury, illness, disability, and/or death to attendee, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Any provided lecture handouts will be linked above, under the schedule, with a password protected page. All paid registrants will get the password to this page a week prior to the meeting.
