This Research Day is the perfect opportunity for residents to present their work to others from EM programs across the state and to learn about what they are doing. This is especially helpful for those who are presenting nationally giving them a trial run. Also, it provides senior residents with an opportunity to present their scholarly projects. Abstracts can be sent to the MCEP Chapter office by e-mail to mcep@mcep.org. Follow-up communication will be forwarded to all who submit abstracts in early April.
The format would be as follows: those that are presenting at the national meeting would present in the same format whether it be an oral presentation or poster. The seniors presenting their projects would be oral presentations unless they adamantly refuse to due an oral talk. This will better convey their project’s goals and results and also will give them one last chance to improve upon their presentation skills in front of a group other than their own program. Each presentation should be no longer than 10 minutes in length with 5 minutes for questions and discussion. Non-research scholarly abstracts will be considered for a limited number of poster presentation spots as well.
There will be a cash award presented for the Best Research Presentation.
